Mental Health Worker - Outpatient Clinic at Pacifica Hospital of the Valley – Sun Valley, California

The MENTAL HEALTH WORKER - OUT PATIENT CLINIC will be responsible for performing and documenting routine nursing care for behavioral health patients. In addition, this position will assess and interpret data about the patient's status in order to identify each patient's needs and provide the appropriate care, including age related care, needed for the patient group.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

• Reports observations of physical signs and changes in patient status to licensed nurse.
• Provides input to plan of care for patient.
• Provides a safe and comfortable environment that meets the patient's immediate needs, evidenced by patient cleanliness, comfort and neatness of environment.
• Provides one-to-one monitoring for high-risk patients.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Mental Health Worker Certification or equivalent experience
• Management of Assaultive Behavior certification
• Six (6) months experience in a psychiatric care setting
• Valid BLS certification
