Purpose of Job:

The Warehouse Associate - Picker with MHE adds value to our Customers and Co-Workers by being responsible for picking customer orders safely, quickly and correctly so orders can be shipped. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure all duties and responsibilities are completed as per Standard Operating Procedures:

  • Order Picking: Meet daily productivity expectations by accurately picking and verifying products according to order specifications and using handheld scanners
  • Packing: Pack products securely for shipment, ensuring all items are accounted for and protected
  • Prep for Shipping: Label and place picked product in proper location for shipping
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following company policies and safety procedures; proactively address or report issues, clean as you go and ensure positive customer service for the next shift
  • Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks as needed, by following all safety procedures
  • Other Duties as Assigned: As a member of the team, there may be other tasks assigned that aren’t listed above

Recommended Qualifications:

Knowledge/ Skill/ Ability Requirements:

  • Basic math functions
  • Basic English reading and writing skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (reach truck, forklift, etc.) safely and efficiently
  • Good English verbal communication skills
  • A positive attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment by showing the character qualities listed above

Experience & Education:

  • MHE Certification required
  • will be provided if required by the position
  • Previous warehouse experience an asset
  • RF scanner experience required
  • High School or equivalent education

Physical Demands/ Working Conditions:

  • This position involves standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
  • Position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Position requires the ability to follow repetitive processes
