Essential Functions

• Perform advanced diagnostics on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Perform fabrication, including design input, layout, cutting, and forming
• Weld according to specifications; 10 gauge to 1” steel
• Properly install, repair, and maintain all electrical components
• Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems
• Perform and oversee quality control checks on all completed jobs
• Review and complete all job notes required in conjunction with work assignments
• Assist in prioritizing workload and coordinating jobs within the service department
• Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Service Technicians
• Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Promote best practices, efficiency, and consistency across the service team
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure technicians perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
• Enforce and model all safety procedures and work in a safe manner

Minimum Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical repair, heavy equipment, or industrial equipment maintenance
• Advanced knowledge of welding equipment, fabrication techniques, tools, and safety procedures
• Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and mentor technicians
• Strong customer service aptitude with excellent communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints
• Ability to meet the physical demands required to perform job functions, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and lead a team
• Willingness to continue learning and developing technical and leadership skills
• Must have own tools (a list will be provided)

Work Environment

This position works in a climate-controlled shop setting. Proper PPE must be worn at all times.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or type; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and sit for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a half hour lunch, but hours could change based on need.
