Job Description:
The Site Superintendent oversees on-site activities related to the delivery, inspection, and installation of Tomball Controls equipment across multiple project locations. This position serves as the primary on-site representative of Tomball Controls, ensuring every customer interaction, installation, and inspection reflects the company's highest standards of quality, safety, and professionalism. The role involves significant travel-often multiple weeks at a time-to support field operations and customer sites nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
• Meet and oversee the delivery of Tomball Controls generator enclosures, fuel tanks, and related equipment at job sites.
• Inspect equipment for shipping or handling damage and document findings promptly.
• Conduct inventory checks of all shipped-loose items and ensure accurate reporting to internal teams.
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for riggers, installers, and general contractors, addressing questions and coordinating technical clarifications.
• Identify and assist in resolving minor quality issues or punch-list items to maintain customer satisfaction and project integrity.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and site requirements at all times.
• Provide daily or weekly status reports, photos, and documentation to the Customer CARE Service Manager and Customer CARE Coordinator.
• Represent Tomball Controls with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first mindset in all interactions.
• Support and manage team(s) of CARE Service Technicians and ensure compliance with completion of site services.
• Support warranty and startup teams as needed to ensure smooth project completion and turnover.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in field supervision, construction, mechanical/electrical installation, or related technical environments.
• Strong working knowledge of power generation systems, enclosures, or heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, site plans, and installation documents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships in high-pressure environments.
• Highly organized and self-directed, capable of working independently in the field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively and at times for up to 2-week periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to travel extensively, often for multiple consecutive weeks, to job sites nationwide.
· Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout active construction and industrial job sites for extended periods.
· Ability to lift and carry equipment or materials up to 50 lbs, with or without assistance.
· Ability to perform detailed visual inspections and documentation of equipment, including working in varying site conditions and environments.
