Camp StarQuest and Camp StarPower Counselor in Dallas, Texas at Jewish Community Center Of Dallas

Responsibilities:

· Assist with and implement core and non-core camp activities in various group settings.

· Lead large and small group recreational activities as needed.

· Support Specialty Theater Staff with hands-on tasks, embodying a collaborative, can-do attitude.

· Ensure the safety, well-being, and happiness of assigned campers.

· Address and manage camper behavior promptly and appropriately.

· Serve as a positive role model, fostering enthusiasm, teamwork, fairness, and fun.

Qualifications:

· Must be 18 years or older.

· Experience or strong passion for performing arts (theater, dance, voice, etc.).

· Previous experience working with children or a genuine desire to engage with kids.

· Enthusiastic, dependable, caring, and team-oriented personality.

Schedule:

· Camp StarQuest: June 8 – July 3, 2026. M-F, 8:30 – 4:30 with the exception of July 1st will be a late night due to our final performance.

· Camp StarPower: July 6 – 17, 2026. M-F, 8:30 – 4:30.

· Orientation June 3 – 5, 2026

· Option to be available for just one of the camp experiences, or both. Incentivized pay to do both.
