Are you ready to be the hero who keeps things running smoothly? As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you'll tackle repairs, team up to keep equipment in top shape, and jump in wherever youre neededfrom carpentry to plumbing and even painting. Youll help guests, respond to work orders, and maybe even take the wheel of the shuttle van (at some properties). Safety and efficiency are your superpowers!

KEY SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fix-It Pro: Master the art of preventative maintenancewhether its swapping bulbs, patching vinyl, touching up paint, or repairing furniture and tiles, youll keep everything looking sharp and running smoothly.
• Equipment Whisperer: Take charge of repairs and tune-ups for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen gadgets, laundry gear, HVAC systems, and even the swimming pool and hot tub, ensuring peak performance all around.
• Safety Hero: Respond quickly to alarms, investigate their cause, and report findings to the Front Desk, keeping everyone safe and in the know.
• Trusted Access: Act responsibly with access to sensitive hotel areas and informationincluding safes, master keys, storage rooms, and secured filesalways maintaining a high level of integrity and trust.
• Guest Connection: Interact with guests and colleagues, sometimes unsupervised, represent the company with professionalism and good judgment, and drive safely when needed for business.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
• Must have a valid drivers license for the applicable state (property specific)
• Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record) (property specific)

PROPERTY INFORMATION:

We are located off Interstate 95 and one mile from downtown Milford. They can explore shopping, dining and entertainment options, and discover nearby businesses such as Subway, Avangrid, Sikorsky, Covidien, and Alexion Pharmaceuticals. Yale University is less than ten miles from our four-story hotel. We offer 120 guest rooms and suites featuring self-adjusting Garden Sleep System beds, 32-inch HDTVs and MP3 alarm clocks. Guests are able to stay productive from their room in the ergonomic Mirra chair by Herman Miller while using complimentary WiFi at the large work desk. Each room is equipped with a coffeemaker, microwave and mini-refrigerator. We can host a business function or social event in one of our five meeting rooms, accommodating 10 to 220 people.
