Water Feature Maintenance Technician at TRD Designs LTD – Bedford Hills, New York

Introduction:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Water Feature Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance department. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, experience with pumps (pond or pool), knowledge of water quality and must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform seasonal water feature maintenance including spring openings, aquatic planting, mid-season maintenance and winter closings.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, such as water feature cleanings, checking water quality, and replacing filters, and inspecting systems for proper operation
• Troubleshoot and repair water feature equipment and systems as needed

• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment inventory

• Create seasonal schedules and coordinate with clients

• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

• Help in other areas of the business including water feature construction and landscape installation

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a water feature maintenance technician or in a similar role

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Must be proficient in google workspace (Gmail, sheets & google calendar)

• Knowledge of plumbing, (pumps or pool equipment a plus)
• Knowledge of low voltage lighting a plus

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

• Valid driver's license is required
