Payroll Administrator IV
Atlanta, GA (Galleria Area) | Hybrid: 4 Days in Office, 1 Day Remote
Summary:
The Payroll IV role is a high priority backfill supporting a fast-paced U.S. payroll team during a major ADP GlobalView implementation. This person will serve as a utility player across payroll operations, projects, and backup coverage, with a strong focus on helping stabilize a busy weekly payroll
environment supporting a large hourly employee population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support complex weekly U.S. payroll operations in a high-volume environment, primarily for hourly craft employees.
- Serve as a flexible payroll team member who can move across priorities, projects, and coverage gaps as business needs shift.
- Learn multiple payroll processes and provide backup support when team members are out or when workload spikes occur.
- Assist with payroll activities within ADP GlobalView and support the team through ongoing system transition issues, off cycle payrolls, and related troubleshooting.
- Help identify, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies, data flow issues, and system related problems.
- Work closely with payroll leadership and team members to maintain payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
- Pull, compare, and review payroll related reports in Excel to support audits, validations, and issue resolution.
- Use VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other spreadsheet tools to compare large data sets and support payroll analysis.
- Partner with others across payroll and related functions to improve processes and support operational efficiency.
- Bring a proactive, solution-oriented approach to day-to-day payroll challenges in a fast-changing environment.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of payroll experience preferred; strong related experience may be considered in place of degree requirements.
- Strong payroll background in high volume, complex payroll environments.
- ADP GlobalView experience is strongly preferred.
- SAP payroll experience is also highly relevant, as ADP GlobalView operates on an SAP engine.
- Union payroll experience is highly preferred due to the companys large union employee population.
- CPP and/or FPC certification is strongly preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required, including comfort working independently in spreadsheets.
- Must be comfortable with payroll reporting, data comparisons, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and pivot tables.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Must be adaptable, team oriented, and comfortable in a reactive environment with shifting priorities.
- A positive attitude and willingness to think independently and bring forward solutions are critical for success in this role.
