Position Summary:Under the supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services, the Nutrition Support Dietitian provides nutrition care for adult and geriatric patients. This role focuses on assessment, intervention, and monitoring of nutritional needs to support patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nutrition care using the Nutrition Care Process (assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, evaluation)Document care in EMR and dietary systemsManage and write nutrition orders, including oral, enteral, and parenteral nutritionProvide education to patients, families, and staffParticipate in medical rounds and discharge planningAddress patient meal concerns and conduct meal roundsSupport formulary management and nutrition-related resourcesAssist with policy development, quality improvement, and research initiativesLead or participate in educational programs and precept students
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/DieteticsRegistered Dietitian with current Illinois licenseMinimum 1 year of clinical experience (critical care or similar setting preferred)Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skillsExperience with EMR and nutrition documentation systems preferred
Working Conditions:
- Combination of office and patient care environmentMay be required to work across facilities
