Location: Beaumont, TX
Job Type: Full time: M-F 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (1/2 hour lunch)

Job Summary:
The CAD draftsman, under guidance and coordination with the CAD Department team and CAD Supervisor, works closely with the Engineering Design Team, Engineering Manager, and Production teams to ensure that Metalforms is accurately and efficiently producing detailed drawings for new fabrication, repair and alteration of pressure equipment for current and future customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilizes design calculation documents to accurately provide fabrication drawings for shop production.
- Measures and records iron blue print dimension from parts & equipment in shop setting.
- Performs related fundamental engineering support tasks such as making simple calculations, proofreading & checking for errors, compiling Bills of Material, etc.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to interpret datasheets and process requirements

- Proficient Computer skills in spreadsheets and word processing.
- Excellent math, reading, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team setting.
- Demonstrates analytic problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience:
- 2-Year Degree in CAD at a minimum or equivalent Heat Exchanger experience with degree in another field.
- Engineering degree in the related field with experience is an added plus.
- 2–5 years of experience in pressure vessel or heat exchanger design is a plus
