Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides I/S support for the various ambulatory financial and clinical systems, including the main hospital Health Information System (HIS) and the Physician Practices Practice Management and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Assists with HIS system hardware and software maintenance, problems, and inquiries; assists with miscellaneous minor hardware and software troubleshooting and other I/S work requests.
Assists with the implementation of various departmental or HIS projects.
Assists with physician office support of Microsoft operating systems and office productivity products.
Provides support for Cerner products for physicians/providers and nursing staff. Assists Manager in promoting satisfaction and marketing of the JMH’s current and future HIS system(s) to physicians, providers, and physician office staff.
Participates in 24-hour on-call coverage to support the HIS system.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and Johnson Memorial Health policies and procedures including Blood and Body Substance Precautions.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Requires bachelor’s degree in computer science, healthcare related field or equivalent work experience. In addition, must have at least one year of basic PC software and hardware work experience. EMR experience is highly desirable. Cerner experience is desirable.

SCHEDULE:
8am-5pm; Monday through Friday; Will take call one week bi-monthly.
75 Hours per two week pay period.
