Description

Willamette Valley Vineyards, a leading producer of world-class wines, is looking to expand our team with a dedicated and knowledgeable Winery Ambassador. This Inside-Sales focused role is designed to help us connect with wine enthusiasts and customers at our beautiful Estate in the Salem Hills. This role is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in wine while driving sales and building lasting customer relationships.

Position Overview:

As a Winery Ambassador focused on Inside Sales at our Winery, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our exceptional wine portfolio to both new and existing customers. The role will involve a strong focus on outbound phone sales, where you will spend approximately 75-80% of your time actively selling over the phone—connecting with new and existing customers, driving direct-to-consumer revenue, and growing long-term client relationships.

The remaining portion of your role will include hosting high-touch, appointment-based winery experiences for top clients and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make high-volume outbound sales calls to prospective and existing customers
  • Drive revenue through consultative selling, upselling, and closing techniques
  • Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals
  • Build and manage a personal book of business through follow-up and relationship management
  • Re-engage past customers and convert new leads into loyal buyers
  • Host elevated, appointment-based winery experiences for qualified clients
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activity in CRM systems.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3+ years of phone-based sales experience (inside sales, call center, DTC, or similar)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Strong verbal communication and persuasion skills
  • Experience with CRM or sales tracking tools
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain customer relationships over time

Why Work with Us:

  • Competitive base pay with performance-based incentives with no sales ceiling.
  • For our full-time employees, we offer medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, plus EAP, Flexible Spending Account, a 401(k) plan, discounts on wine, and a uniquely fun workplace.
  • Opportunities for career growth in the wine industry.
  • Access to exclusive wine discounts and events.
  • A supportive and dynamic team environment.
  • Professional development opportunities after the first year.

If you are an enthusiastic wine professional with a flair for sales and a passion for building relationships, we would love to hear from you!

How to Apply: Please submit your resume along with a brief cover letter highlighting your experience in wine, sales, and/or hospitality.

Requirements:

  • Must be available to work on weekends AND on-site winery events, as most events are held over holiday weekends, such as Memorial Day and Thanksgiving.
  • Must have a valid OLCC permit or ability to obtain before a start date.
  • Must have highly developed organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to build team dynamics and synergy across departments, and optimize resource potential.
  • Must be able to communicate through active listening skills and gather accurate insights to human behavior.
  • Must be independently motivated to generate sales for Domaine Willamette.
  • Must be able to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Must be team focused and be ready and willing to reasonably assist in other areas of the business as needed.
