By prioritizing relentless hardware iteration, we deliver high-speed systems at the pace of the modern battlefield. We work with the Department of War to provide the high-speed capabilities our nation and its allies need to maintain a durable, asymmetric advantage.

As the Senior Manager or Head of Capital Projects, you will lead the planning and execution of complex capital projects, overseeing the full lifecycle from initial scoping through construction and final handoff. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define project requirements, budgets, and timelines, while managing architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for driving permitting and regulatory compliance, maintaining detailed project schedules and financial tracking in collaboration with Procurement and Finance, and proactively managing risks, changes, and contractor performance. You will serve as a key liaison between leadership and project teams, providing clear reporting and ensuring all projects transition seamlessly to Facilities and Workplace Operations upon completion.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage architects, engineers, and consultants from concept through construction documents

  • Drive permitting, code compliance, and regulatory approvals

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and milestones

  • Manage contractor performance, supplier coordination and change control

  • Ensure seamless handoff to Facilities and Workplace Operations teams

  • Provide clear and consistent reporting to leadership

Minimum Requirements:
  • 8–12+ years of experience in architectural engineering, capital projects, construction management, or real estate development

  • Experience delivering industrial, manufacturing, or technical facility projects

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building systems, and permitting

  • Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple concurrent projects

  • Experience managing external vendors (architects, engineers, contractors)

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments

  • Background in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or hardware companies

  • PMP, LEED, or similar certifications

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs as required for inspections or maintenance oversight.
  • Comfortable working occasionally at heights, in confined spaces, or around active aerospace test equipment.
  • Onsite presence required at Los Angeles-based facilities; occasional travel to other locations may be necessary.
