Maintenance Specialist I (Temp. 37.5 hours per week, $15.45 per hour) - Hartsville Office at State of South Carolina – West Columbia, South Carolina

In this position you will perform the following duties:

• You will provide buildings and grounds maintenance for facilities, including maintaining equipment.

• Tenth grade education and three years experience in equipment, building and grounds maintenance.
• Requires basic electrical, HVAC, carpentry and plumbing knowledge, to include irrigation systems.
• Ability to paint and perform minor dry wall repairs.
• Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance and safety.
• Ability to analyze maintenance problems, recommend effective repairs and upgrades to buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Knowledge of janitorial techniques.
