Job Description
Columbia Vehicle Group is seeking a skilled and dependable Second Shift Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility during second shift. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure while minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
Install, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment.
Inspect equipment and perform routine maintenance to prevent failures.
Maintain lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and building infrastructure.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Document maintenance activities and repairs.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
Follow OSHA regulations and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical training or industrial maintenance certification required.
Three or more years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
Experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
PLC troubleshooting experience required.
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
Basic computer skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces.
Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Work around machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Wear required PPE.
