West Post Op is seeking a self-motivated, compassionate, energetic and organized 7P-7A Charge Nurse for our busy 30 bed unit. This position is required to work every other weekend and some holidays. The patient population consists of adult Post Operative/Med-Surg/Neuro patients with a large population of Orthopedic patients. The candidate for this position must have strong nursing skills, be able to use critical thinking skills and be able to multi-task. The charge nurse is responsible for making shift assignments, communicates with bed placement to assign patient rooms and is a resource for the rest of the staff. This position will get an EXTRA shift differential for being in a charge position role. New employees will receive a comprehensive hospital orientation and a unit specific orientation where they are paired with a preceptor 1:1 for the duration of their orientation.
