About This Position

Fibertek is a leading developer of laser and electro-optic systems for the aerospace community, with key contributions to lasers for atmospheric sensing, laser communications, and lidar sensors for NASA, DoD, and commercial customers. We are looking for a highly motivated Program Financial Analyst to join our team. Play a crucial role in driving financial success and strategic decision-making for company projects. Work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze program and project financial data, develop budgets, and support optimal resource allocation. As part of the accounting organization, this position will be liaison between accounting and program staff. The Program Financial Analyst (PFA) supports the Program Manager (PM) and Control Account Managers (CAMs) by monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting the program’s financial performance against a baseline plan and against current financial estimates. Â

Essential Job Duties:

  • Gather, examine, and reconcile financial, schedule, purchasing, invoice, and labor data reports from multiple sources to generate information and insights into program cost performance
  • Generate analytical products that help the PM and CAMs identify areas of underperformance and cost risk/growth, identify and quantify cost trends, identify and quantify sources of cost variances, forecast future costs, and graphically visualize cost performance.
  • Assist the PMs and CAMs in interpreting the reports and recommending follow-on monetary impact actions.
  • Lead the financial aspects of program initiation planning by developing time-phased program cost baselines (e.g., performance measurement baselines) or re-baselines by WBS.
  • Convert forecasts into contractually required cost reports such as CFSRs.
  • Assist the PM in analysis of projected labor needs versus assigned labor resources to characterize impacts of resource gaps on the cost forecast and EV performance metrics.
  • Assist the PM with the preparation of EV reports (e.g. IPMR products) as required by the specific contract.
  • Produce earned value data such as BCWP, ACWP, BCWS
  • Support generation of pricing data for cost proposals
  • Produce revised materials and labor cost forecasts
  • Standardize the processes, methods, and tools for program financial management

Experience and expertise required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Project\Program financial management experience.
  • Experience with earned value management
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint or other major ERP system
  • 5 years or greater relevant experience
  • Experience with government contracts
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel
