Maintenance Technician at Easy Signs – Allentown, Pennsylvania

The Maintenance Technician is part of the Production Team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Zund cutters, Monti heat presses, Juki sewing machines, and forklifts. Hands on experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and servicing a variety of printers and related equipment to ensure optional functionality. This role involves performing routine maintenance and preventive maintenance (PM) on machinery, maintaining the building, and coordinating with external vendors when necessary.

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including Zund cutters, Monti heat presses, Juki sewing machines, and other machinery.

• Troubleshoot and repair printers and related equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize production downtime.

• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on all assigned equipment to extend the working life of equipment and reduce unexpected failures.

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues using effective problem-solving techniques.

• Maintain facility infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical systems, dock doors, and dock plates.

• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair services.

• Accurately document all maintenance activities, including completed work orders, parts usage, and preventive maintenance checklists.

• Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed in compliance with OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency issues to minimize downtime and support uninterrupted operations.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with 5S or similar workplace organization standards.

• Assist with the installation, relocation, and setup of new machinery and equipment as needed.

• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

• Remain available for on-call maintenance support based on business needs.

• Proven experience with Zund cutters, Monti heat presses, Juki sewing machines

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

• Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and best practices

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment

• Comfortable performing physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions

• Ability to safely use hand and power tools

• Previous experience coordinating with external vendors and contractors

• Willingness to travel as needed
