Job Title: HVAC Service Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair heating, air conditioning, and hydronic systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused attitude. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring systems are operating efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and diagnose HVAC systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
• Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems.
• Install HVAC equipment (e.g., furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, mini splits and ductwork).
• Handle refrigerant charging, recovery, and leak detection in accordance with EPA standards.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Communicate effectively with customers about service options, pricing, and system conditions.
• Complete service documentation and reports accurately.
• Adhere to all local and national HVAC codes, safety standards, and company policies.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• 2+ years of HVAC experience (preferred, will train if necessary).
• Valid EPA Section 608 Certification.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to use HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and safety practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Work Conditions:
• May require working in confined spaces, on rooftops, or in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• On-call availability for emergency repairs (as needed).
