RN PRN or Part Time in Moline, Illinois at The Project of the Quad Cities
Job Description
At The Project, you will do work that matters for people who are too often overlooked. We are celebrating 40 years of providing affirming healthcare and supportive services to people living with HIV, those most at risk, and the broader LGBTQ+ community, and we welcome everyone who walks through our doors. We are looking for people who believe health care should meet people where they are. Learn more at www.tpqc.org.
The Project is excited to announce that we are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide sexual health care in our Moline clinic. The RN is often the first clinical person our patients see, and that visit can shape whether they come back. You will test, diagnose, and treat STIs under protocol, start people on PrEP and PEP, and connect people who test positive for HIV or hepatitis C to the care they need. In our small clinic, you'll work independently and use your clinical judgment every day. If you want your nursing skills to reach people who are too often judged or ignored by the healthcare system, this is the place.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat STIs using established protocols, including PrEP and PEP
- Take sexual health histories in a way that's direct, nonjudgmental, and affirming
- Perform HIV, hepatitis C, PrEP, and related lab services in our on site clinic
- Work with case managers to link clients who test positive for HIV or hepatitis C to primary or specialty care
This PRN or part time position is based at our clinic in Moline, Illinois. We anticipate about 16 to 32 hours a month, scheduled around clinic needs and your availability, which may include some evenings or Saturdays. This is a non supervisory position.
Compensation
Compensation for this role ranges from $29.02 to $31.92 per hour, plus an additional 2.5% for candidates proficient in a relevant second language. Your final offer is based on relevant experience beyond the minimum required for the role: 1 to 2 additional years adds 2.5%, 3 to 5 years adds 5%, 6 to 10 years adds 7.5%, and more than 10 years adds 10%. Experience is based on the responsibilities and titles listed on your resume. Exact titles aren't required, but the responsibilities must relate to the experience this role requires.
Our compensation structure is experience-centric and not contingent on education. As part of our commitment to pay equity, salaries are non-negotiable and include an annual cost of living increase. We have historically prioritized broad, equitable adjustments over performance-based increases, with the understanding that our approach may evolve.
