About This Position

  • JOB SUMMARY
    • This position performs basic nursing skills, patient navigation, and data management largely in the outpatient setting, with a focus on enhancing both the patient experience and the quality of medical care provided. This position will focus on navigating patients with lung nodules, lung cancer or who are at high risk for lung cancer, tobacco addiction, and related problems. A critical feature for success in this position is the ability to develop high-functioning interpersonal relationships with patients, physicians, scheduling services, for navigation of the Anderson Regional Health System. In addition, the Clinic Care Coordinator will serve as the Nurse Supervisor for the Nursing Department at the Anderson Regional Cancer Center.
  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:
      • Education/Regulatory Requirements:
        • Current unrestricted Mississippi RN license.
        • Active in PM member of professional nursing organization encouraged.
        • BCLS certified and trained in CPR.
        • Clinical/Oncology experience preferred.
        • Oncology Nursing Certification preferred.
        • Completion of ONS Clinical Trials Nursing 101 Course required within one year of employment.
        • Healthcare Lean training preferred.
      • Skills:
        • Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.
        • Phlebotomy Skills
        • Knowledge of correct and safe use of basic office equipment including copier, fax machine and computer.
        • Strong Interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
        • Able to execute independent action and begin working without supervision, displays conscientiousness and motivation.
        • Evaluates data on hand and comes to sound conclusions; considers factors, places them in perspective, reaches logical conclusions based on available evidence.
