About This Position

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The intern works side-by-side with the home department staff to gain key insights and learning related to the inner workings of the team. They will complete assigned projects and activities and assist staff as requested by the leader to increase the intern’s professional experiences and knowledge while supporting Bryan Health core values.

PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

2. Gains industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments.

3. *Completes assigned projects and tasks to meet required deadlines.

4. *Tracks progress toward project completion.

5. *Participates in meetings and conferences calls as assigned by the leader.

6. *Communicates on a level appropriate for professional interactions.

7. *Completes assigned tasks and duties as required for completions of internship.

8. Reports delays or conflicts as they arise.

9. Represents Bryan Health in a professional Manner

10. Utilizes classroom experiences to enhance projects and assigned work.

11. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.

2. Knowledge of department specific tools, software and/or hardware for position.

3. Knowledge of workplace safety related to assigned area.

4. Ability to understand and communicate with a wide variety of people and personalities.

5. Ability to maintain confidentiality relevant to sensitive information.

6. Ability to display interpersonal skills, integrity, organization, teamwork and energy to complete assigned work.

7. Ability to create effective and positive relationships.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalency required. Must have a 2nd year standing in an Associate’s degree program or at

least a Junior standing in a Bachelor’s degree program. Previous experience in the assigned area preferred.
