TIG Welder / Metal Fabrication Technician (Aluminum & Stainless)
Location: Hanover, PA
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Overtime: Occasional Saturdays and additional hours as needed
Pay: Starting at $24+/hour, based on experience
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder with fabrication experience to support the production of custom aluminum and stainless-steel components. This role involves hands-on welding, part fitting, blueprint reading, and assembly work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting focused on quality and precision.
Key ResponsibilitiesFabrication & Welding
- Perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel with a focus on clean, high-quality welds
- Fabricate and assemble components such as railings, frames, and custom structures
- Measure, align, and fit materials prior to welding
- Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications
Blueprint Reading & Shop Operations
- Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions
- Set up and operate fabrication tools including saws, grinders, and other shop equipment
- Identify and resolve fit-up, alignment, and welding challenges during production
- Maintain an organized and efficient work area
Material Handling & Safety
- Move materials using pallet jacks or appropriate lifting equipment
- Follow all safety guidelines and fabrication best practices
- Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards
- Adapt to changing workloads and priorities as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven TIG welding experience with aluminum and stainless steel
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and measurements accurately
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and shop equipment
- Basic math skills (fractions, measurements, calculations)
- Ability to troubleshoot fabrication or welding issues independently
- Comfortable working in a production-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Reliable and self-motivated with good time management
- Problem-solving mindset and sound decision-making skills
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs as needed
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Repetitive hand and arm movements
- Strong visual focus for precision work
