This role is focused on the architecture, stability, and high availability of mission-critical PostgreSQL environments supporting systems where reliability and performance are essential. You will operate at the core of large-scale data infrastructure, ensuring that database clusters remain resilient, optimized, and fully operational even under extreme workloads and critical incidents. The position involves deep technical ownership of on-premises PostgreSQL ecosystems, including HA orchestration, performance tuning, and infrastructure-level troubleshooting. You will collaborate with engineering teams to design robust database architectures for new systems while continuously improving existing environments. This is a highly technical role that combines hands-on problem solving with strategic architectural design. You will also play a key part in ensuring zero-impact maintenance operations and minimizing system downtime in environments where every second matters.

• Architect, administer, and maintain high-availability PostgreSQL clusters in on-premises environments using tools such as Patroni, Etcd, and Keepalived.
• Monitor system health and ensure resilience of large-scale database infrastructures supporting mission-critical operations.
• Investigate and resolve complex performance and availability incidents, performing deep root cause analysis (RCA).
• Troubleshoot replication issues, locking problems, connection anomalies, and system-level database failures.
• Perform advanced Linux kernel and infrastructure tuning, including memory management, I/O optimization, and storage configuration.
• Manage database patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities using zero-downtime strategies and safe failover procedures.
• Optimize PostgreSQL performance parameters and query execution plans for high-volume workloads.
• Design scalable database architectures and capacity plans for new systems and evolving business needs.
• Produce detailed technical documentation and RCA reports following critical incidents.

• Proven experience as a DBA or Database Architect working with large-scale PostgreSQL environments.
• Strong expertise in high-availability architectures using Patroni, Etcd, and Keepalived.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems administration, kernel tuning, and system-level optimization.
• Experience managing on-premises infrastructure, including storage design, networking, and system services.
• Ability to handle critical incidents under pressure, ensuring minimal RPO/RTO and system recovery.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL performance tuning, replication, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with system-level debugging, logs analysis, and troubleshooting complex distributed issues.
• Advanced English for technical documentation, RCA writing, and global team collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Preferred certifications such as LPIC, RHCE, EDB PostgreSQL Certification, or Microsoft/Azure database credentials.
