Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven IT Operations & Projects Manager to lead our IT support team and programming resources while also contributing to key business initiatives and special projects. This role blends leadership, technical expertise, and project management, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This position requires the successful candidate to work on-site in Truro 3–4 days per week.
The IT Operations and Projects Manager will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT operations while continuously improving systems and supporting organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and manage IT projects from planning through implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are achieved.
· Partner with business leaders to gather requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
· Coordinate day-to-day IT operations, service delivery, communications, and work prioritization to support business needs.
· Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for IT Support and Programming team members.
· Manage vendor relationships, contracts, procurement activities, and service performance to ensure effective delivery of IT services.
· Support IT budgeting, resource planning, and technology investment decisions.
· Facilitate stakeholder communication, change management activities, and governance processes related to technology initiatives.
· Monitor project progress, manage risks, and escalate complex technical requirements and issues as appropriate.
· Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance business processes, systems, and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
- Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and networking
- Experience overseeing or working with software development/programming
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on-site in Truro 3–4 days per week
