Job Description
Interface with TAI and related TAI subsidiaries on weekly and monthly basis to analyze data on financial statements. Assist with the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process; Journal Entry preparation and posting of accruals and reversals; assist with budget preparation, Partner with Senior Accounting Manager & Senior Finance Manager to create and implement policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues to ensure the close and reporting processes are efficient and accurate.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Financial Transactions: Reconcile accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), bank statements, and general ledger entries.
· Month-End and Year-End Closing: Assist with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting
· Reporting: Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports to project the company’s financial position
· Budgeting and Forecasting: Support budgeting processes by analyzing financial data and providing insights for operational planning
· Compliance and Audits: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, IRS regulations, and company policies. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
· Vendor and Customer Interaction: Manage daily payment cycles, verify invoices, and maintain relationships with vendors and clients
· Special Projects: Participate in process improvement initiatives, system implementations, and other finance-related projects to enhance efficiency
Requirements:· Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting
· 3-6 years’ experience in the accounting or finance
· Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
· Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
· Intermediate Excel skills including but not limited to: Pivot Tables, INDEX, MATCH, and IF/IFS functions, Data validation, Conditional Formatting, Basic Macros, Statistical modeling, Graphs and charts
Other skills not required but recommended
· Previous experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
· Familiarity with McLeod software or McLeod hosted applications
