Job Description
Position Summary
Valbin Corporation is seeking an experienced Medical Instructor to support a potential contract at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ.
The Medical Instructor provides classroom, laboratory, and field instruction in support of the USAF Expeditionary Operations School (EOS) Fieldcraft Program, with primary responsibility for Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and expeditionary medical training. The instructor delivers medical demonstrations, practical exercises, and student evaluations in accordance with approved syllabi and Plans of Instruction (POIs), ensuring students develop the knowledge and skills required to provide lifesaving medical care in deployed and combat environments. The Medical Instructor also maintains required medical credentials and instructor certifications while supporting all aspects of course preparation, execution, and reconstitution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom, laboratory, and field instruction on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), expeditionary medicine, and deployed medical operations in accordance with approved syllabi and Plans of Instruction (POIs).
- Conduct medical demonstrations, hands-on practical exercises, and student evaluations to ensure proficiency in combat casualty care techniques and emergency medical procedures.
- Instruct students on casualty assessment, hemorrhage control, airway management, trauma care, patient evacuation, and other medical procedures required in deployed operational environments.
- Evaluate student performance, document training results, and provide constructive feedback in accordance with USAF EOS and Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) standards.
- Prepare classrooms, medical training equipment, simulation aids, and instructional materials to support scheduled training events.
- Maintain accountability and operational readiness of medical training equipment and assist with course logistics before, during, and after instruction.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations to improve medical training curriculum, instructional methods, and training effectiveness.
- Maintain current professional medical licenses, certifications, and instructor qualifications required to perform instructional duties.
- Comply with all USAF EOS policies, safety procedures, accreditation requirements, and contract performance standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of four (4) years of military experience providing medical support to deployed forces, such as an Independent Duty Medical Technician (USAF IDMT), Combat Medic, or U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman (HM) with deployed combat support experience.
- Must possess one of the following qualifications:
- State- or nationally licensed Paramedic;
- Medical Doctor (MD);
- Physician Assistant (PA);
- Registered Nurse (RN);
- Current (within the previous 12 months) Army MOS 68W, Health Care Specialist; or
- Army MOS 18D, Special Operations Medical Sergeant.
- Maintain a current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification or equivalent nationally recognized credential in good standing, with the ability to provide proof of certification upon request.
- Demonstrated experience providing emergency medical care in operational, combat, or austere environments.
- Must meet all General Instructor qualifications identified in Section 2.6 of the PWS, including instructor certification, weapons qualification, First Aid/CPR/AED certification, Range Safety Officer qualification, and physical fitness requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to instruct and supervise students in classroom, field, and tactical training environments under varying weather and operational conditions.
- Ability to wear required protective equipment and safely operate in austere environments involving uneven terrain, smoke, pyrotechnics, and live-fire training activities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and perform physically demanding instructional and medical training activities.
- Ability to maintain all required medical certifications and instructor qualifications throughout the period of performance.
