The Implementation Manager will oversee client onboarding and implementation activities, ensuring projects are delivered successfully, on time, and aligned with client expectations. This role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex healthcare benefit implementations while maintaining exceptional client relationships.
- Lead the end-to-end onboarding process for new clients, ensuring smooth transitions from sales handoff through implementation completion.
- Partner with clients to understand requirements, configurations, business needs, and implementation objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during implementation, managing communication, resolving issues, and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Develop and maintain detailed implementation plans, including project scope, milestones, timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate data integrations with internal teams and external vendor partners to support successful launches.
- Collaborate with Client Success, Sales, Member Experience, Engineering, Product, and Support teams to deliver a consistent client experience.
- Create and maintain documentation covering client configurations, customizations, workflows, and implementation processes.
- Assign project tasks, monitor progress, facilitate team meetings, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify implementation risks, develop mitigation strategies, and adapt project plans when challenges arise.
- Monitor execution quality and ensure deliverables align with project goals and client expectations.
- Conduct post-launch reviews, support client reporting activities, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on healthcare industry trends and communicate relevant impacts to clients and internal teams.
The ideal candidate brings experience managing complex implementations within the healthcare benefits industry, along with strong project management, communication, and problem-solving abilities. This professional should be comfortable managing multiple priorities while delivering a high-quality client experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the benefits industry, including experience with TPA or PBM environments; medical PBM experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of claims processing, formulary management, rebate programs, benefit configuration, eligibility processes, and testing.
- Experience coordinating implementations involving TPAs, brokers, consultants, and external vendor partners.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and initiatives simultaneously.
- PMP certification or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage processes, deadlines, and detailed project requirements.

- Strong ownership mindset with confidence managing priorities and maintaining clear communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
- Competitive base salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year.
