Job Summary:

Rhythm Healthcare is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing team in our New York, NY location. This role will partner directly with the VP of FP&A and the Sr. Manager of FP&A to drive the company's planning, forecasting, and analytical horsepower. This role owns recurring FP&A deliverables (forecasting, variance analysis, forecast loads) end-to-end while leading ad-hoc analyses that inform pricing, margin, freight, and cost-to-serve decisions. This is a high-visibility seat for a driven, analytical professional looking to deepen their FP&A career in a growing healthcare company.

Note on Title and Experience: Final title and compensation will be commensurate with experience. Candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience will be considered a Financial Analyst, while those with 3–5 years of experience will be considered a Senior Financial Analyst.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly forecasting process: partner with department leaders, consolidate inputs, and prepare forecast deliverables for review
  • Lead forecast loads into NetSuite and reconcile against source models.
  • Prepare month-end variance analysis (actual vs. budget vs. forecast) with written commentary explaining drivers.
  • Maintain and improve driver-based financial models supporting the annual budget and rolling reforecasts.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages, KPI dashboards, and profitability insights for executive review.
  • Pricing analysis: evaluate pricing actions, price realization, and competitive positioning.
  • Failure rate analysis: quantify warranty/failure cost impact and identify root-cause trends.
  • Customer / product mix analysis: assess shifts in mix and downstream margin impact.
  • Gross margin and COGS analysis: dig into cost variances and identify margin improvement opportunities.
  • Unallocated freight analysis: investigate and resolve unallocated freight costs.
  • Freight cost analysis: analyze carrier performance, lane economics, and surcharge trends.
  • Cost-to-serve analysis: model fully-loaded cost by customer / channel to inform commercial decisions.
  • Build out the data and reporting infrastructure needed to bring UPS, WWEX, and other operational data into NetSuite.
  • Assist in preparation of board-level and executive leadership presentations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recurring reporting tools, dashboards, and the team's analytical workflow.
  • Support bank reconciliations and bank reporting during the transition of these activities to Accounting.
  • Support audit preparation and PBC schedules.
  • Partner with Accounting on month-end close items where finance context is required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 0-5 years of progressive FP&A or finance experience; corporate FP&A experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills — driver-based models, scenario analysis, sensitivity testing.
  • Experience with NetSuite (or comparable ERP) and an FP&A / forecasting tool strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to own recurring deliverables end-to-end with limited oversight.
  • Strong analytical rigor — comfortable getting into the data, finding the story, and presenting it clearly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate analysis into executive-ready output.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Healthcare or distribution industry experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular use of computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods during shift.
  • Visual acuity to perform data entry and read financial documents.

The pay range for this role is:
90,000 - 110,000 USD per year(New York, NY)
