This role plays a key part in ensuring strong financial governance, budgeting accuracy, and analytical support across medical communications projects. You will act as a critical link between project teams, finance stakeholders, and account leads to ensure budgets, forecasts, and revenue tracking are accurate and aligned with business objectives. The position involves both operational and analytical responsibilities, including budget development, financial reporting, and project cost control. You will support project setup, monitor financial performance, and help identify opportunities for efficiency and optimization. Working in a matrixed, fast-paced environment, you will collaborate closely with multiple internal teams to ensure compliance with financial processes and SOPs. The role also contributes to business development and contract support activities, ensuring financial inputs are robust and reliable. - Support the development, review, and management of project budgets, revisions, and changes in scope, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with client and internal requirements.
- Provide financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting support, including revenue tracking, profitability analysis, and project performance monitoring.
- Partner with project teams, account leads, and finance stakeholders to ensure adherence to financial processes, SOPs, and contractual requirements.
- Assist in contract setup, SOW updates, and financial compliance activities, ensuring proper documentation and approvals are maintained.
- Track and report financial data including hours, revenue recognition, forecasts, and new business awards on a regular basis.
- Support audits, quality reviews, SOP maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives related to financial processes.
- Contribute to business development efforts by providing financial inputs for proposals, pricing tools, and budgeting exercises.
- Maintain financial systems, trackers, and reporting tools while ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or project finance within CRO, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, budgeting processes, forecasting, and revenue analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a matrixed environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with project management or financial systems is an advantage.
