The Platform System Specialist will be responsible for administering enterprise GitHub platforms, improving developer experiences, and maintaining secure and compliant workflows across the organization. Key responsibilities include:

• Manage enterprise GitHub environments, repositories, organizations, teams, permissions, and access controls.
• Configure and maintain GitHub Enterprise governance standards, repository policies, branch protection rules, and security settings.
• Support development teams with onboarding, GitHub adoption, and best practices for repository management.
• Manage GitHub Actions workflows, pull request approvals, deployment environments, and automation processes.
• Implement and maintain GitHub Advanced Security capabilities, including code scanning, secret scanning, dependency scanning, and vulnerability remediation workflows.
• Perform security reviews and vulnerability analysis using GitHub security tools and Fortify.
• Monitor GitHub audit logs and integrate security events with monitoring platforms such as Splunk and Azure Monitor.
• Ensure platform compliance with enterprise governance, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Create dashboards and operational reports covering deployment activity, repository performance, vulnerability management, and compliance metrics.
• Develop GitHub Insights solutions to provide visibility for engineering and leadership teams.
• Support integrations between GitHub, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, monitoring tools, and enterprise applications.
• Automate workflows, audit tracking, work item synchronization, and deployment traceability through APIs and platform integrations.
• Troubleshoot GitHub workflow issues, deployment failures, and access-related incidents.
• Provide technical documentation, user guidance, and continuous improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Agile delivery practices and platform modernization initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing enterprise development platforms, with expertise in GitHub administration, security, and integration. Required qualifications include:

• Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise Administration, including repositories, organizations, teams, and permissions management.
• Strong knowledge of GitHub Actions, workflow automation, and CI/CD processes.
• Experience implementing and managing GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS) features such as code scanning, secret scanning, and dependency analysis.
• Knowledge of repository governance, branch protection policies, and secure software development practices.
• Experience integrating GitHub with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, monitoring platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and automation approaches for platform management.
• Experience with security monitoring tools such as Splunk and Azure Monitor.
• Experience using Fortify or similar application security and vulnerability analysis tools.
• Ability to create operational dashboards, reports, and insights for technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex platform and workflow issues.
