Cedar Creek is a 1,100 MW simple-cycle gas turbine power project built under a lump-sum EPC contract. As Piping QA Inspector you own examination coverage for piping on the owner's behalf: welding, NDE, pressure testing and material traceability. The construction team relies on you for examination judgement.
What you get to do:
- Own NDE coverage and review examination results across piping systems.
- Monitor welder qualification and welding procedure compliance.
- Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing.
- Verify material traceability and positive material identification.
- Inspect pipe supports, spring hangers and cold pull.
- Raise and drive closure of nonconformances.
What you bring to the role:
- 7+ years inspecting piping on power or process plants.
- Working knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3 and Section IX.
- CWI certification.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Procore and AI tools used with human verification.
- Technical qualification, or equivalent years of field experience.
Nice to have:
- NDE Level II.
- Owner-side inspection experience.
- OSHA 30 — provided by the project after mobilization if you do not already hold it.
