Job Description
AACOM is seeking a Program Coordinator to support programs, projects, and initiatives within our Graduate Medical Education (GME) Initiatives team. This role coordinates a variety of activities across GME and Medical Education, including programs, meetings and events, member engagement, communications, clinical education initiatives, data and reporting, and cross-divisional projects.

ABOUT AACOM
The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, or AACOM, was founded in 1898 to lend support and assistance to the nation's osteopathic medical schools, and to serve as a unifying voice for osteopathic medical education. The association is guided by its Board of Deans of member colleges of osteopathic medicine, and various other member councils and committees.
AACOM represents and advances the continuum of osteopathic medical education by:

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Program Development and Evaluation
- Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of GME programs and initiatives.
- Assist with research, writing, reporting, surveys, quality improvement activities, and basic data analysis.
- Support the collection and reporting of KPIs and impact data.
Events, Membership, and Communications
- Coordinate task forces, work groups, meetings, webinars, and events, including scheduling, materials, communications, RSVPs, and logistics.
- Support professional development, special interest groups, and other membership programs and engagement activities.
- Maintain and analyze membership data and develop web content, newsletters, presentations, and other communications for internal and external audiences.
Clinical Education and Project Coordination
- Support selected clinical education initiatives, pilots, tools, partnerships, and educational offerings.
- Coordinate projects across GME, Medical Education, and UME Services, maintaining project plans, milestones, responsibilities, and follow-up.
- Work across teams to track responsibilities and dependencies, coordinate updates, and keep projects moving forward.
Program Administration and Documentation
- Coordinate meeting agendas and minutes, schedules, travel arrangements, and other program and project materials.
- Maintain program documents, databases, trackers, email lists, and contact information.
- Use AI-enabled tools when appropriate to improve efficiency while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
WHO WE NEED
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Three or more years of relevant program or project coordination experience is preferred, including experience delivering exceptional customer service and supporting professional membership programs.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to use AI-enabled tools appropriately to streamline work while maintaining quality, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience coordinating meetings and events, including virtual meetings and webinars.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Strong research skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment and resolve issues efficiently.

COMPENSATION AND WORK ARRANGEMENT
This is a full-time, exempt position with a remote work arrangement. Travel to AACOM headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland, for in-person GME team meetings is required a few times each year. Travel to AACOM's annual conference and key GME-related conferences is also required. Occasional evening meetings and/or webinars may be necessary. The salary range for this position is $62,400 to $67,100 annually.
