Crescent Counseling Center is seeking an independently licensed LPC, LCSW, or LMFT with prior private practice or outpatient experience to join our growing clinical team.

This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys the autonomy of private practice while also valuing administrative support, clinical consultation, professional development, and connection to a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient psychotherapy to assigned clients
• Complete assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes
• Maintain an active clinical caseload and meet the required minimum number of client sessions each month
• Assess and respond appropriately to clinical risk and safety concerns
• Coordinate care with other providers when appropriate
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
• Participate in consultation, training, and quality-improvement activities
• Practice within professional scope, competency, and ethical standards

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or related field
• Active, unrestricted Virginia LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license
• Previous private practice or outpatient behavioral health experience
• Experience independently managing a psychotherapy caseload
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and communication skills
• Knowledge of HIPAA, informed consent, mandatory reporting, and professional ethics

Experience with insurance-based outpatient practice, medical necessity, and payer documentation requirements is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $62,000–$90,000 per year (W-2)

Salary placement is based on relevant experience, years of independent licensure, clinical expertise, position responsibilities, billed sessions, and internal equity.
