Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled, dependable, and customer-focused Full-Time E-Bike Mechanic to join our Seattle Flagship Service Center.
This role is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining electric bikes while providing a high level of workmanship and customer care. The ideal candidate enjoys solving mechanical problems, works efficiently in a busy service environment, communicates well with customers and teammates, and takes pride in keeping a professional and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities
Service & Repair
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns on e-bikes.
- Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, tune-ups, and repairs.
- Repair and replace components including brakes, drivetrains, wheels, tires, tubes, controls, and other bicycle components.
- Troubleshoot e-bike electrical systems and determine appropriate repair solutions.
- Conduct thorough post-repair inspections and test rides when appropriate.
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards.
Customer Experience
- Provide customers with clear, friendly explanations of recommended repairs and maintenance.
- Help set realistic expectations regarding service needs and repair scope.
- Communicate additional issues discovered during service when appropriate.
- Help create a welcoming, professional service experience from bike drop-off through pickup.
Service Center Operations
- Accurately document work performed and parts used.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
- Properly care for shop tools, equipment, bikes, batteries, and customer property.
- Assist with parts organization and identify service parts or supplies that need replenishment.
- Support the flow of bikes through the service center and help keep repairs moving efficiently.
- Follow company safety procedures and established service practices.
Team Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with mechanics, sales staff, and leadership.
- Help teammates diagnose challenging repairs and share technical knowledge.
- Assist with assembly, inspections, and other shop needs when required.
- Stay current on products, service procedures, and technical updates.
- Contribute to a positive, accountable, and customer-first shop culture.
Qualifications
- Previous bicycle mechanic, e-bike mechanic, powersports, automotive, or similar mechanical experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
- Experience with bicycle brakes, drivetrains, wheels, tires, and general adjustments.
- E-bike electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus.
- Comfortable using hand tools, bicycle-specific tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Able to prioritize work and maintain attention to detail in a busy service environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
- Willingness to learn new products, technology, and service procedures.
