Senior Principal Consultant

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Principal Consultant in United States.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a seasoned technical and customer-facing leader to oversee one of the most strategic public sector accounts within a rapidly evolving data platform environment. In this role, you will combine program leadership, technical consulting, customer success, and business growth responsibilities while acting as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders. You will help guide mission-critical initiatives, align technical delivery with organizational objectives, and contribute directly to long-term account expansion. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in complex enterprise environments, enjoys building strong client relationships, and can confidently navigate both executive discussions and deep technical conversations. You will collaborate across sales, engineering, consulting, and product teams to ensure successful project execution and sustainable customer value. This role offers strong leadership visibility, strategic ownership, and the opportunity to influence large-scale public sector technology initiatives.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and manage a strategic public sector account across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring overall account health, delivery success, and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary executive and technical point of contact for customer stakeholders, building trusted long-term relationships with agency leadership and operational teams.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to identify growth opportunities, support proposal development, and expand the organization’s footprint across new mission areas.
  • Collaborate with development and delivery teams to define technical strategies, solution architectures, and long-term platform adoption plans.
  • Lead operational cadences including project management reviews, roadmap planning, executive business reviews, steering committee meetings, and customer success initiatives.
  • Act as the escalation point for delivery challenges, technical risks, and customer concerns, coordinating internal resources to drive timely resolutions.
  • Facilitate innovation workshops, strategic planning sessions, and executive briefings to uncover additional use cases and business opportunities.
  • Advocate internally for customer needs by sharing product feedback, operational insights, and evolving technical requirements with engineering and product teams.
  • Contribute directly to delivery activities through hands-on technical engagement while balancing leadership, customer success, and account management responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with internal consulting, engineering, partner, and product teams to ensure high-quality delivery and alignment across all workstreams.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in senior technical consulting, customer success, technical account management, professional services leadership, or solution architecture roles.
  • Proven track record managing and growing strategic enterprise or public sector accounts in partnership with sales organizations.
  • Strong leadership experience mentoring technical teams and driving both individual and team performance outcomes.
  • Deep technical expertise across enterprise data platforms, including familiarity with NoSQL, relational, or graph database technologies.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise software development practices, JSON/XML data modeling, and modern development workflows.
  • Ability to engage confidently in both executive-level discussions and technical architecture or code-level conversations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills within complex enterprise or government environments.
  • Experience working with state, local, education, or public sector organizations strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and participate in extended on-site customer engagements as needed.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as AI/ML, semantic technologies, geospatial systems, cloud platforms, containerization, or enterprise integration tools is considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of BI tools, modern web frameworks, Linux environments, or cloud ecosystems such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is advantageous.
  • Background in healthcare, public services, military, or government technology programs is beneficial.

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $153,000 to $180,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
  • Performance-based incentive plan with earning potential up to $95,000 at target achievement levels.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan and financial wellness benefits.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) with long-term wealth-building opportunities.
  • Flexible paid vacation policy, company holidays, birthday leave, and parental leave options.
  • Tuition reimbursement and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Additional voluntary benefits including pet insurance, legal coverage, identity theft protection, and home/auto insurance options.
  • Employee Assistance Program and wellness initiatives supporting physical, mental, and financial well-being.
  • Collaborative and inclusive work environment with opportunities for leadership growth and career advancement.
  • Flexible hybrid remote work arrangement with meaningful exposure to large-scale public sector initiatives.
