Description
Summary of duties: The Staff Accountant role focuses primarily on accounts payable and on providing day-to-day support to
senior accounting staff. The position is responsible for accurately processing vendor invoices and payments, maintaining wellorganized accounts payable records, and assisting senior accountants with routine tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations,
and the monthly close. Work is closely supervised and centered on tasks of limited complexity.
Supervision received: Vice President of Accounting & Patient Financial Services
Duties & Essential Functions:

Accounts Payable (Primary Focus)
Process vendor invoices accurately and on time, including coding to the correct general ledger accounts.
Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents, resolving discrepancies under the guidance of senior staff.
Prepare and assist with scheduled payment runs (checks, ACH, and wire requests).
Set up and maintain vendor records, including W-9s and remittance information.
Reconcile vendor statements and respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status.
Review and process employee expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
Maintain organized, complete, and audit-ready accounts payable documentation.
Support to Senior Accounting Staff
Assist senior accountants with preparing journal entries and basic account reconciliations.
Support the monthly close process by gathering data and completing assigned routine tasks.
Compile and organize financial data to assist in the preparation of reports.
Support internal and external audits by gathering documentation and responding to information requests.
Meet processing and reporting deadlines as assigned.
Assist direct supervisor with other related duties as needed.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
0–2 years of related accounting or accounts payable experience; internship experience considered.
Skills & Expectations

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Accurate and efficient data entry; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn standard accounting and AP software.
Ability to deliver proficient language translation support as needed or applicable to ensure effective communication with
patients and staff is a plus
