Job Description

  • DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
    • The PACU Staff Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who is responsible for the total nursing care of the patients during the immediate post-operative phase.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
    • Professional/Educational
      • Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license with biennial renewal and required CEUs.
      • Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

      • Advanced Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.
      • At least one year clinical experience in Med/Surg Nursing.
      • Preferred experience in Critical Care, Operating Room Nursing PACU, or Emergency Room.
      • Basic computer skills.
      • DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
