Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr HR Systems & Data Analyst based in United States.
This is a senior HR technology role responsible for owning and evolving the systems, data, and operational processes that support People teams at scale. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert for ADP Workforce Now and the broader HR technology ecosystem. The role combines hands-on systems administration, data governance, automation, compliance, and technical project ownership. You will partner closely with People, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure HR data is accurate, secure, and actionable. You will also identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve the employee and manager experience. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fully remote, fast-moving environment and enjoys turning complex business needs into practical technology solutions.
- Own the day-to-day administration, configuration, security roles, workflows, custom fields, and overall health of ADP Workforce Now and related People systems.
- Translate business requirements into system solutions, managing the full lifecycle from requirements gathering and configuration through testing, launch, validation, and adoption.
- Manage system integrations across payroll, benefits, finance, and HR platforms, including monitoring, troubleshooting, escalation, and maintenance of automated and manual data flows.
- Lead configuration, testing, documentation, and rollout of system releases and enhancements, proactively identifying opportunities to simplify or automate existing processes.
- Manage role-based access and least-privilege controls while maintaining appropriate evidence for SOX and other compliance requirements.
- Own HR technology and data projects from scoping through completion, representing the People Operations perspective in cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Develop and implement process automations, including AI-assisted solutions, to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and create more scalable People Operations workflows.
- Establish and maintain data definitions, quality standards, field ownership, retention practices, audit logs, and recurring data audits to strengthen HR data governance.
- Build custom reports and executive-facing dashboards, analyze People data, and translate findings into actionable insights for Finance, FP&A, Legal, and People leadership.
- Support cyclical HR operations including open enrollment, compensation cycles, reorganizations, payroll close, and year-end activities.
- Provide responsive support for employee and manager system questions, identify recurring issues, and develop documentation, runbooks, or automations that address root causes.
- Manage HR technology vendors, including service levels, escalations, performance, contracts, and renewal timelines.
- Maintain clear technical documentation and training materials to increase self-service capabilities across the People team.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in HR systems administration, HRIS configuration, HR technology operations, or a closely related field.
- Deep hands-on expertise with ADP Workforce Now, including configuration, workflows, reporting, security roles, and troubleshooting integrations.
- Proven experience translating ambiguous business requirements into practical system solutions and managing implementations end to end.
- Strong understanding of HR data management, data quality, reporting, governance, and audit practices.
- Experience designing or implementing process automation, ideally using modern AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
- Experience with SOX controls, audit preparation, compliance documentation, or comparable HR technology governance requirements.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, shifting requirements, deadlines, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong judgment, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail, with the ability to identify root causes rather than repeatedly addressing symptoms.
- A bias toward action and the ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment while proactively communicating status, risks, and decisions.
- Experience managing HR technology vendors and third-party system relationships is highly valuable.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to challenge existing processes constructively while supporting a diverse and distributed team.
- Applicants who do not meet every listed requirement are encouraged to apply if they can demonstrate relevant transferable skills and experience.
- Competitive U.S. compensation: $122,000–$183,000 USD base salary, excluding bonus, equity, and other benefits; compensation may vary based on location, experience, and skills.
- Equity: Opportunity to receive equity and participate in the organization’s long-term success.
- Comprehensive benefits: Competitive benefits designed to support employees and their individual needs.
- Unlimited vacation and holidays: Flexible time away from work, plus company-wide days dedicated to disconnecting and recharging.
- Remote-first environment: Work with a globally distributed team spanning six continents.
- Flexible working arrangements: Asynchronous collaboration and flexibility around when and how work gets done.
- Learning and development: Access to professional development resources, including comprehensive learning programs and Coursera.
- Career growth: Opportunities to develop skills and take on broader responsibilities within a rapidly evolving technology environment.
- Inclusive culture: A diverse, globally distributed workplace that values different backgrounds, perspectives, skills, and experiences.
- Background screening: Employment is subject to applicable background checks, including employment, education, and criminal record verification.
