Sales & Business Development Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales & Business Development Manager based in the United States.

This is a high-impact, full-cycle sales role focused on driving new business while expanding and strengthening existing client relationships. You will own the sales process from prospecting and discovery through presentations, proposals, negotiation, and closing. The role combines consultative selling with strategic account management across a diverse range of industries and emerging technology sectors. You will engage directly with senior decision-makers, including Director- and C-level executives, both virtually and in person. Extensive travel across the Americas and participation in international industry events will provide significant opportunities for networking and relationship building. You will also contribute to sales strategy, marketing initiatives, partnerships, and regional growth plans. With strong autonomy and access to global colleagues, this role offers meaningful opportunities for professional development and increased responsibility.

Accountabilities
  • Own the full sales cycle, from identifying and qualifying prospects to conducting discovery, presenting solutions, developing proposals, negotiating, and closing new business.
  • Generate new opportunities through cold outreach, event networking, lead follow-up, industry research, and other creative prospecting strategies.
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and consultations both remotely and at client locations to understand business objectives and align them with relevant products and services.
  • Travel extensively across the Americas and represent the organization at industry conferences, exhibitions, and international events.
  • Build, retain, and expand strategic customer accounts by understanding client needs, strengthening relationships, and delivering an excellent customer experience.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including Directors and C-level executives, while developing long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Manage the sales pipeline for an assigned territory or portfolio, identify regional growth opportunities, and develop strategies to increase revenue.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and clearly communicate the value and differentiation of available products and services.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and provide accurate forecasting and reporting on pipeline activity and performance.
  • Collaborate with analysts, marketing, finance, and other internal teams to support client needs, sales initiatives, industry relationships, and broader business objectives.
  • Monitor market developments, emerging technologies, and industry trends to identify new prospects, customer opportunities, and potential areas for growth.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, sales activity, account information, and reporting.
  • Contribute ideas to sales strategy, marketing programs, partnerships, and other initiatives that support long-term business growth.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of proven business-to-business sales or business development experience, with a demonstrated record of achieving results.
  • Strong experience managing a full sales cycle, including prospecting, consultative discovery, presentations, negotiations, closing, and account development.
  • Experience selling products or services, ideally within SaaS, subscriptions, research, consulting, technology, or professional services, though candidates from other industries may also be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and engage new business opportunities through proactive hunting, relationship building, networking, and creative prospecting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage senior and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial judgment and the ability to understand client objectives, identify business challenges, and match needs with appropriate solutions.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and proactive, with the initiative to operate independently and take ownership of a territory or portfolio.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, markets, and customer requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and pipeline management discipline.
  • Excellent IT and CRM skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and use technology effectively throughout the sales process.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively for customer meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • A positive, resilient, and solutions-oriented mindset with a strong “can-do” attitude.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and sales performance.
  • Fully remote position based in the United States.
  • Extensive opportunities for domestic and international travel across the Americas and participation in industry events.
  • High degree of autonomy and ownership over sales activities, territories, accounts, and growth initiatives.
  • Opportunity to work with prominent professionals and senior decision-makers across a broad range of industries and emerging technology sectors.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and markets, providing an opportunity to develop deep industry and commercial expertise.
  • Ability to contribute directly to sales strategy, marketing initiatives, partnerships, and regional business development.
  • Career development opportunities with the potential to take on broader responsibilities over time.
  • Training and collaboration with colleagues based across the United States, United Kingdom, and Japan.
  • Opportunity to work within a globally distributed organization and build an international professional network.
