Position Overview

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET) is seeking a highly qualified Watch Floor Operator to support mission-critical continuity, preparedness, and operational response activities within the Intelligence Community (IC). This position serves as a key member of a 24/7 Mission Operations Center or (MOC) providing situational awareness, incident response coordination, continuity operations support, and executive-level reporting to ensure mission readiness during routine operations and crisis events.

The successful candidate will possess strong operational judgment, exceptional communication skills, and extensive experience supporting intelligence, continuity of operations (COOP), emergency management, or national security missions in a high-tempo environment.

Key Responsibilities

Response Operations Center Support

  • Provide 24/7 operational support within a Mission Operations Center or (MOC) environment.
  • Maintain continuous situational awareness of emerging events, operational activities, and mission impacts affecting Intelligence Community operations.
  • Facilitate information sharing, communications, knowledge management, and reporting activities across government stakeholders and mission partners.
  • Support the execution of continuity, contingency, and emergency response plans during routine and crisis operations.

Operational Reporting & Communications

  • Prepare and disseminate daily, weekly, and event-driven situational awareness reports for senior leadership.
  • Monitor and assess operational events, identifying potential impacts to mission capabilities and readiness.
  • Conduct alert notifications and coordinate personnel accountability and activation procedures during emergency response events.
  • Maintain operational communications across multiple secure and continuity communication platforms.

Continuity & Preparedness Operations

  • Develop and maintain MOC standard operating procedures, checklists, job aids, and operational playbooks.
  • Support continuity of operations (COOP), continuity communications, and mission resilience initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining alternate facility readiness and continuity response capabilities.
  • Participate in exercises, drills, and operational readiness assessments.

Program & Asset Management Support

  • Assist accountable property personnel with inventory accountability and equipment distribution processes.
  • Support corrective action planning and implementation resulting from exercises, incidents, and after-action reviews.
  • Contribute to mission preparedness initiatives and emergency management activities as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8–12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 6–10 years of relevant experience. Additional years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting intelligence, operations centers, continuity programs, emergency management, military operations, national security, or related mission environments.
  • Experience developing operational reports, situational awareness products, procedures, and executive-level briefings.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-visibility operational environment.
  • Experience supporting performance-based, completion-based, or deliverables-based government contracts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with secure communications systems and operational reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Homeland Security, or Federal emergency management experience.
  • Experience supporting Continuity of Operations (COOP), Continuity Communications, Emergency Operations Centers (EOC), or Watch Center environments.
  • Knowledge of incident response frameworks, crisis management procedures, and mission resilience programs.
  • Experience developing operational training materials and conducting workforce training.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and manipulate 50lbs independently when needed.
  • Position involves long periods of standing, or sitting at a desk environment.
  • FIT for Duty Physical may be required.
