As a Biomedical Manager, you will lead the Biomedical Department to ensure high-quality repair, maintenance, and service activities for durable medical equipment (DME), partnering closely with clinical facilities, operations, and sales to enhance patient care and satisfaction.

About the Position

  • Lead, organize, and coordinate daily operations of the Biomedical Department.
  • Supervise, coach, and support biomedical technicians to ensure quality work and accountability.
  • Monitor and track team productivity using established KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Hold regular team meetings to review priorities, repair timelines, and department goals.
  • Ensure timely completion of repairs, preventative maintenance, and work orders through effective scheduling and resource planning.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for communication between the biomedical team and other departments including operations, facilities, customer service, logistics, and sales.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with facility maintenance teams and external stakeholders to ensure prompt service and collaboration.
  • Communicate departmental needs and updates to senior leadership.
  • Review and approve service orders, repair quotes, and billing documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, safety regulations, and internal policies.
  • Provide escalation support and guidance for complex or high-priority repair issues.
  • Oversee equipment inventory levels, coordinate with purchasing to ensure parts availability.
  • Conduct performance reviews, implement training programs, and support technician development.
  • Ensure proper use of service management platforms (E-Maintenance, Bonafide, etc.).

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and hold team members accountable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of acting as a liaison across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple workflows and timelines effectively.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical documentation and managing service software platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Working knowledge of durable medical equipment and related repair protocols.

Qualifications for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (preferred fields: Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Technology Management, Operations, or related).
  • 2+ years of experience in biomedical equipment services preferred.
  • Minimum of 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Familiarity with KPIs, productivity tracking, and staff performance evaluation.
  • Experience managing departmental communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Compensation

  • $62,500 - $65,000 annually, dependent on experience
