A key focus will be monitoring compliance, identifying process gaps, and providing actionable feedback to clinic leadership.
You will also support new clinic implementations, acquisitions, and other initiatives requiring structured HIM analysis and change management.
The role offers broad exposure to healthcare operations and the opportunity to improve the consistency, efficiency, and quality of HIM processes.

Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with medical group clinics and outpatient departments on the education, implementation, and ongoing management of HIM standards.

  • Conduct discovery activities and document current and future-state workflows, processes, business needs, and operational requirements.

  • Collect, document, and manage business requirements while partnering with HIM Systems Analysts to support technology and workflow solutions.

  • Serve as a liaison between business departments, technical teams, clinic stakeholders, and other groups to facilitate effective communication and engagement.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for projects, processes, workflows, requirements, and operational activities.

  • Contribute to project planning, implementation activities, follow-up, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Perform additional related responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience working in Health Information Management or an outpatient clinic environment.

  • Strong understanding of HIM concepts, standards, workflows, and operational processes.

  • Demonstrated analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and identify appropriate solutions.

  • Experience with business operations analysis, requirements management, workflow management, and process improvement.

  • Strong project management and organizational capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinical, operational, technical, and leadership stakeholders.

  • Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, including the ability to build productive relationships across different teams.

  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.

  • An RHIT or RHIA certification is preferred.

  • An associate degree in Health Information Technology or a bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Informatics, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently under general direction while maintaining accountability for deadlines and deliverables.

  • Availability and willingness to travel as required, despite the role being fully remote.

  • Ability to participate in video interviews through Microsoft Teams and, when necessary, onsite meetings or interviews.

  • Ability to work from a suitable remote environment and manage responsibilities involving sensitive healthcare information and confidentiality.

  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods and regularly use computers, phones, and related equipment.

Benefits
  • Fully remote work opportunity within the United States.

  • Competitive hourly compensation of $31.01–$48.84, with the actual rate determined by experience and qualifications.

  • Comprehensive benefits designed to support physical, mental, financial, and overall well-being.

  • Opportunities for professional development and continued education.

  • Access to a tuition support program offering 100+ education, professional skills, and certification options, with eligibility beginning on the first day of employment.

  • Opportunities to contribute to healthcare operations and improve HIM processes across outpatient environments.
