Account Manager

Location: Cocoa, FL

Job Summary

The Account Manager will be responsible for developing business with key clients in the Aerospace and Construction as well as any other Fabrication & Coatings work scopes with significant potential to become a major contributor to growth and profitability. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prospect new accounts and generate a pipeline of qualified opportunities and close new business in these accounts.
  • Manage the Business Development and Sales Pursuit activities within his/her region from 'Identify' through to 'Close.’
  • Liaise with competitors and other service company representatives to maintain intelligence about industry activity as it relates to the company’s business.
  • Further development of up-selling services and promoting services offered to region
  • Ensure that organizational goods or services consistently meet customer needs.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, new opportunities, and competitor activity.
  • Provide summary reports to help guide business development strategy.
  • Communicate information concerning collections, estimated revenues of contracts, new contracts, pending contracts, and overall activity with aerospace and construction customer accounts
  • Schedule and prepare materials for client meetings, trade shows, or site visits
  • Plan, organize, and participate in industry social events to promote company within community
  • Coordinate marketing to update company brochures, presentations, and digital content.
  • Support social media or promotional campaigns tied to business development goals.
  • Maintain prospect log within SharePoint and other Business Development processes
  • Coordinates team activities for timely responses, submittals, presentations and proposals
  • Establishes individual goals, objectives, strategies, and budget requirements for developing new business
  • Serves as the client advocates during the completion of projects to enable proper team alignment and assist advancing from concept development through design and construction phases
  • Other duties as assigned by VP of Business Development.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business development a plus
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of related experience in direct sales within the designated territory.
  • Experience in Construction and Fabrication or Manufacturing industries preferably.
  • A proven track record of having established and maintained successful business relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities.
  • Be proactive, organized and handle work under stressful and uncertain environments.
  • Able to work within a matrix organization and to manage internal resources in support of customer activities such as Proposals, Negotiations, Sales/Product/Technical/Application Presentations, Events/Trade Shows, After Market Support etc.

  • Make a personal commitment and be accountable for HSE results, supporting team members through coaching and mentoring to achieve goals.
  • Accept coaching and demonstrate ownership and improvement of HSE processes based on feedback and ongoing mentorship.
