We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager to add to our growing team.
Position Summary & Objective
The Manufacturing Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing custom HVAC projects from initiation through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with customer specifications and company objectives. The Project Manager works cross-functionally with engineering, production, and leadership teams to drive successful project outcomes while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of custom HVAC fabrication and assembly projects.Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables in collaboration with leadership.Identify project tasks, milestones, and resource requirements.Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project or similar tools.Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables.Track and manage project budgets to ensure cost control and financial accountability.Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.Manage project changes, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.Conduct project evaluations and assess results to support continuous improvement.Provide direction, support, and coordination to cross-functional teams including engineering, fabrication, and assembly.Delegate tasks effectively and ensure accountability across the project team.Foster collaboration and maintain clear communication among stakeholders.Provide regular project updates to leadership and stakeholders.Prepare and present reports outlining project status, risks, challenges, and solutions.Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication.Ensure projects meet quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.Support quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.Promote adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in HVAC, fabrication, or manufacturing environments.Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.Proficiency in MS Project or similar scheduling tools.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent planning, organization, and time management abilities.Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.Strong decision-making, delegation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Work performed in both office and manufacturing environments.Frequent interaction with production teams on the shop floor.Ability to walk the production floor and attend project meetings as needed.Must follow all safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE when in production areas.Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required based on project timelines.
