You're the person who turns ideas into clear, buildable designs.

You thrive on precision, creativity, and technical problem-solving. You enjoy developing thoughtful designs, working through the details, and turning concepts into accurate construction documents that help bring projects to life.

The Architectural Designer will contribute to projects across all phases of design, from early concept through permitting and construction documentation. The position is well suited to a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and strong Revit proficiency. ROXBOX operates in a fast-paced environment in which projects move quickly, deadlines are firm, and priorities may shift. The role offers direct exposure to modular construction and substantive technical experience supported by an on-site fabrication facility.

What You'll Do

  • Develop construction documents for permitting and construction.
  • Model and detail projects in Revit and maintain accurate, well-organized models.
  • Revise architectural plans as marked and coordinate all sheets affected by any changes.
  • Support design development from early concept through construction administration.
  • Coordinate with the on-site production team and incorporate feedback into project documentation.
  • Assist with permit submittals and respond to plan review comments.
  • Manage individual workload and ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, fabrication personnel, and clients.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Take ownership of assigned work and follow through to completion.
  • Seek clarification proactively when project requirements are unclear.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and schedules.
  • Identify potential architectural concerns and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Communicate design decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain current knowledge of construction means and methods, industry trends, and best practices.

  • Working knowledge of steel frame construction and/or commercial construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and ensure accuracy throughout the process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to modular, prefabricated, or shipping container construction.
  • Familiarity with commercial building codes, ADA requirements, and permitting processes.
  • Experience coordinating with structural, MEP, or civil consultants.
  • Progress toward architectural licensure (AXP hours or ARE examinations).
