Open Source / Social Media Analyst in at DarkStar Intelligence LLC

DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Open Source/Social Media Analyst to monitor and analyze traditional and social media trends, assess online networking patterns, and provide actionable insights that enhance situational awareness for federal clients. This role is critical in transforming complex, real-time information into clear and comprehensive reports, contributing directly to targeted media and social networking analysis efforts.

• Monitor and evaluate online media and social networking trends to identify actionable insights.
• Develop, prepare, and disseminate analytical summary reports for federal clients.
• Contribute to the creation of specialized media and social networking reports tailored to client needs.
• Operate and maintain web-based applications and tools used for social media analysis.
• Stay informed of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in social media/networking analysis.
• Participate in rotational shift work to ensure 24/7 operational coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in political science, International Relations, Intelligence Studies, or a related field
• Proficiency with tools and resources for accessing and analyzing social networking data
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to remain current with developments in social media analysis

Desired Qualifications

• Educational or professional background in National or Homeland Security
• At least one year of professional experience using social networking tools and platforms
• Experience working in government or military operations centers
• Familiarity with information-sharing or processing environments

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $52,000 - $54,000. Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, and market data. DarkStar provides a competitive and comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and long-term success of our full-time employees.
