About the Opportunity

District Photo is looking for a dependable, hands-on Production Lead to join our Books Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with production or manufacturing experience who is ready to take the next step into leadership.

The Production Lead works directly on the production floor, helping keep people, equipment and workflow moving safely and efficiently. You'll provide day-to-day direction to team members, help troubleshoot production issues, monitor quality and productivity, and step in wherever needed to keep orders moving.

  • Help organize staffing and workflow to meet daily production goals.
  • Monitor production, quality and productivity throughout the shift.
  • Ensure employees follow established procedures, safety requirements and quality standards.
  • Help train, coach and support new and existing team members.
  • Operate production equipment as needed and be willing to learn multiple processes within the department.
  • Identify production problems and work with Supervisors, Maintenance and other departments to resolve them quickly.
  • Help prioritize and expedite orders based on production needs.
  • Assist with equipment changeovers, workflow adjustments and other production requirements.
  • Communicate shift priorities, issues and results to supervisors and other leaders.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, attendance and a positive work environment.
  • Lead by example—especially during our busiest production periods.

Benefits

401K, paid vacation, paid holidays, sick and safe leave, life insurance, medical, dental, vision, and short/long term disability benefits.
