Job Description

Part - Time Restorative Reporting Center Counselor (Bethlehem)

Typical hours are a minimum of 18 hours per week or up to 20 hours
Days varying from: Mon (3pm-10pm) Tues & Wed (5pm-10pm) & Sat (8am-3pm)


About the Opportunity
We are pleased to share an internal opportunity for a Reporting Center Counselor. This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting youth and families through case management, counseling services, and restorative practices while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Position Summary
The Reporting Center Counselor coordinates and supervises client services to ensure quality care and positive outcomes. This role provides case management oversight, counseling services, and facilitates Family Group Decision Making conferences while working collaboratively with families, probation officers, caseworkers, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the case management and progress of reporting center clients.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Family Group Decision Making conferences.
  • Provide restorative individual, family, and group counseling services.
  • Conduct intake interviews, assessments, and develop individual treatment plans.
  • Maintain progress notes, client records, and required documentation.
  • Prepare reports, discharge summaries, and follow-up documentation in a timely manner.
  • Assist with educational, recreational, social, and other reporting center activities.
  • Maintain communication with parents, guardians, caseworkers, probation officers, therapists, and other service providers.
  • Support program operations and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Follow and implement the organization's Basic Concepts and service philosophy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience and training may be considered for high school graduates
  • Experience in counseling, case management, or human services.
  • Strong problem-solving, assessment, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare professional reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to testify clearly and concisely in court when necessary.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance required.
