Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Growth Marketing Manager based in the United States.
This role offers the opportunity to own and accelerate a high-impact growth engine in a rapidly changing student lending market.
You’ll lead paid acquisition across major platforms while expanding into emerging channels, creators, SEO, and answer-engine optimization.
With meaningful budget ownership, you’ll have a direct connection between ideas, experiments, results, and business growth.
The role combines hands-on campaign execution with strategic channel development and scalable growth systems.
You’ll use data, experimentation, automation, AI tools, and APIs to identify new opportunities and improve performance.
You’ll also help build a trusted brand presence among students researching how to finance higher education.
It’s an ideal environment for a scrappy, analytical marketer who enjoys moving quickly and turning successful experiments into repeatable growth.
- Own day-to-day campaign management across paid social and search platforms, including Meta, Google, TikTok, Reddit, and creator partnerships, from launch and optimization through scaling or discontinuation.
- Design and execute experiments to identify new sources of profitable customer acquisition and convert successful tests into repeatable growth channels.
- Expand the overall acquisition portfolio by exploring new platforms, formats, audiences, creators, and distribution opportunities.
- Build brand visibility across the channels and digital surfaces where higher-education students research financing and student loan options.
- Analyze campaign and business performance, using incomplete or evolving data to make sound decisions about where to invest, optimize, pause, or scale.
- Develop efficient growth processes and systems that reduce manual work and allow successful acquisition motions to scale.
- Leverage AI-powered tools, APIs, automation, and emerging technologies to create new marketing capabilities and improve execution speed.
- Work with a strong sense of ownership, moving quickly from hypothesis to live test and using results to continuously refine the growth strategy.
- 2–7 years of experience in growth marketing, or 2–4 years in management consulting or a comparable environment combined with experience building a growth motion from the ground up.
- Hands-on experience managing paid acquisition campaigns, including the ability to independently build, launch, optimize, evaluate, pause, and scale campaigns.
- Strong experimentation mindset, with a track record of identifying unconventional opportunities and pushing promising ideas into execution.
- Excellent analytical judgment and the ability to build defensible conclusions from incomplete data while clearly distinguishing evidence from assumptions.
- Strong understanding of growth marketing principles, performance measurement, channel economics, experimentation, and customer acquisition.
- Technical aptitude and a willingness to build solutions when existing tools do not meet the need, including practical experience with AI tools, APIs, automation, or related technologies.
- Ability to think in systems and create repeatable processes rather than relying on manual, one-off execution.
- Highly resourceful, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where experimentation and iteration are encouraged.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate performance insights into clear recommendations and action.
- Base compensation of $90,000–$125,000, plus variable compensation tied to performance metrics.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
- Retirement plan with matching contributions.
- Meaningful ownership of growth strategy, budget, and channel expansion.
- Opportunity to work across paid media, creators, SEO, AEO, AI, and emerging acquisition channels.
- High-impact mission focused on helping students access more competitive financing options.
- Opportunity to contribute during a significant market shift driven by changes to federal student lending.
- Proven business model with more than 290,000 members and over $2 billion in negotiated loan volume.
- A fast-moving, experiment-driven environment with a short path from idea to execution.
- Interview process consisting of an introductory conversation with the hiring manager, a case study, cross-functional discussions with senior leadership, and reference checks.
